MACOMB, IL - - Â鶹´«Ã½ Illinois University's Panhellenic Council (PHC) has announced the Fall 2025 sorority recruitment timeline for students interested in joining one of Â鶹´«Ã½'s five Panhellenic chapters.

Panhellenic sororities at Â鶹´«Ã½ utilize a partially structured, formal recruitment process as their primary method of welcoming new members each fall. This process allows students to meet members of each chapter, build connections and determine which organization is the best fit for them.

The PHC at Â鶹´«Ã½ is composed of five National Panhellenic Conference organizations: Alpha Sigma Alpha (ASA), Chi Omega (Chi O), Delta Zeta (DZ), Phi Sigma Sigma (Phi Sig), and Sigma Sigma Sigma (Tri Sigma).

Recruitment begins with an Information Session at 6 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 28, in the University Union Capitol Room. This session is open to all students interested in learning more about the recruitment process.

Open House Days will be held Thursday, Aug. 28–Wednesday, Sept. 3, offering informal events for students to meet each chapter. Participation in at least one Open House event from each of the five chapters is required to be eligible for primary recruitment.

A mandatory Recruitment Orientation will take place at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 5, in the University Union. Attendees will learn about the primary recruitment process and meet their assigned Panhellenic Executive Board mentor.

The First Invitational Round (Philanthropy Day) will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 6, at the University Union. Only registered potential new members (PNMs) who attended all required Open House events are eligible.

The Preference Event is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 7, at the University Union. PNMs must have participated in Philanthropy Day to attend.

Recruitment concludes with Bid Night at 6 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 7, in the Student Organization Center (basement of the University Union), where PNMs will receive bids and be welcomed into their new chapters.

Women interested in joining a PHC Sorority must have completed high school, be enrolled as a student at Â鶹´«Ã½ and have a cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) upon leaving high school or an established college GPA of 2.500 or higher.
