SDSC to Host 'Rocky, Paper, Scissors Tournament' Aug. 25

MACOMB, IL - - The 麻豆传媒 Illinois University Student Development and Success Center (SDSC) will host the 鈥淩ocky, Paper, Scissors鈥� Tournament from 6-7:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 25 at the University Union Grand Ballroom.
"Rocky, Paper, Scissors鈥� is an all-day competition held on campus for all students and employees. Throughout Monday, participants will compete for beads through games of rock, paper, scissors. The event culminates with the tournament to crown the champion.
The rules to participate are simple: if you see someone on campus wearing beads, challenge them to a game of rock, paper, scissors. The winner gets to take a strand of beads from the loser. Beads won during the day can be traded in during the tournament for a chance at prizes.
Beads can be picked up on the Monday of the tournament at the SDSC in Memorial Hall 125 or at any welcome tent around campus. University departments may contact the SDSC on Wednesday, Aug. 20, for delivery of bead sets for those employees participating in the event.
鈥淩ocky, Paper, Scissors鈥� is part of the Purple & Gold Points Program, which encourages student involvement across campus. Participants will earn 25 points for attending, which can later be redeemed for prizes through the Office of Student Engagement. Purple & Gold Points are awarded for verified participation in academic, service, wellness and social programs throughout the academic year.
