Executive Branch
The Executive Branch is charged with executing any and all necessary action required in the completion of all legislative decrees. The Executive Branch represents SGA in all University activities either directly or indirectly as deemed by the President.
Jace Green, President
The President serves as the chief representative of the student body at Â鶹´«Ã½ Illinois University, engaging actively in University and community affairs. They oversee the Executive Branch, appoint Cabinet members, run weekly Cabinet meetings, and serve as the official signee for all SGA contracts and agreements. Additionally, the President convenes special Senate meetings, coordinates the Mayor’s Roundtable, maintains the SGA email account, and has final signing authority over all SGA legislation.

Kaitlynn Tutt, Vice President of Internal Affairs
The Vice President of Internal Affairs manages the Attorney General, Director of Academic Affairs, and Director of Technology, and supports them as needed. They coordinate the annual State of the Student address, organize meetings with the Quad Cities SGA, and handle secretarial tasks as assigned by the President. This role also processes legislation, follows up on passed bills, responds to student emails, and works with SGA to address student concerns.

Sydnee Osgood, Vice President of External Affairs
The Vice President of External Affairs oversees the Directors of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, Outreach and Events, and Public Relations, stepping in for them when needed. They collaborate on relevant initiatives, appoint these directors with the President’s approval, and serve as a voting member on the Council on Student Activities Funds. This officer represents SGA on external committees, maintains contact with student groups, and coordinates meetings with administration as directed by the President.

Vacant, Attorney General
The Attorney General serves as the Ethics Officer of SGA, investigating instances of fraud and ensuring all officers comply with standards. They maintain thorough knowledge of the SGA Constitution, Bylaws, and parliamentary procedure and hold final interpretive authority on these documents. Additionally, they chair the SGA Elections Committee, serve as a non-voting member of the Operational Policies Committee, and operate under the approval of the President.

Ripley Zanger, Director of Academic Affairs
The Director of Academic Affairs acts as the liaison between students and the Faculty Senate and the Council of Academic Advisors. They coordinate an annual Faculty-Student Forum and meet with the Provost’s office as needed. This position also develops methods to gather student input on academic issues and improvements on campus.

Akera Griffith, Director of Technology
The Director of Technology maintains the SGA website with the Director of Public Relations and serves on relevant SGA committees as designated by the President. They coordinate with University Technology (uTech) and the CIO to address student technology needs and concerns. This role ensures regular assessment of campus technology quality and facilitates monthly updates from uTech.

Jade Cross, Director of Public Relations
The Director of Public Relations manages all SGA publicity, including social media and the website, working closely with the Director of Technology. They coordinate media coverage of Senate meetings and SGA events, assist with tabling, and collaborate with the Director of Outreach and Events. This officer acts as the main contact for media outlets and ensures all events are promptly posted on Leatherneck Link.

Nick Allgeyer, Director of Outreach and Events
The Director of Outreach and Events maintains strong relationships with all student organizations on campus and works with the Director of Public Relations to publicize events. They plan organization visits to gather student feedback and coordinate all SGA events and programming in collaboration with the Vice President of External Affairs. This role also manages partnerships and initiatives with University administration, local government, and state representatives.

Chantal Garcia, Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
The Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion addresses concerns from minority and underrepresented students and advises the SGA President on diversity-related matters. They serve as a liaison to the Multicultural Center and its affiliated resource centers and coordinate educational initiatives that promote interaction among diverse student groups. This director also chairs SGA diversity councils and represents students on University diversity committees when necessary.
