Annual Volunteer Programs

Volunteer Fairs

Every semester in conjunction with the All Âé¶¹´«Ã½ Fair, August 27th, 2025, Volunteer Services hosts a Volunteer Fair in order to help students get connected with volunteer opportunities on and off-campus. The Fall 2025 Fair is on August 27th, 2025 and theÌýSpring 2026 Fair is on January 21st, 2026. Make A Difference Day

Make A Difference Day (MADD) will be observed on October 24th, 2025 from 12-5 pm.Ìý

Make A Difference Day (MADD) provides students with the opportunity to volunteer in the community for a day of service. MADD is held during each fall semester and usually has between 2 and 4 different volunteer opportunities.Grab-and-go snacks will be provided at the start of the day and transportation to service sites is provided if needed. More information will be posted with the details of volunteer sites and volunteer work that will be done.Ìý

Flags of Love

The Macomb community puts up American flags around Chandler Park (on the square) at 7 AM, the morning of Veteran’s Day, and takes them down at 4:30 PM the same day. Flags of Love is a community project that displays individual flags of the United States representing deceased military veterans.

Angel Tree

Angel Tree will be operating November 10th-December 12th, 2025.Ìý

The Office of Student Engagement - Volunteer Services, in cooperation with the Salvation Army, sponsors an Angel Tree in the Unive rsity Union Concourse from November - December for children in the community. With 100 children in need as part of the project, participants from the Âé¶¹´«Ã½ and Macomb communities can select an angel from the tree to donate gifts to children who otherwise might not receive any gifts.Angel Tree 2023 - Over 500 gifts were collected for area children!!

First Weeks of Service/Best Week Ever

To ring in the new year, in partnership with RockyThon and UUB, Âé¶¹´«Ã½'s All Volunteer Effort (WAVE) will be providing student with TWO weeks of volunteer opportunities across campus and Macomb!Ìý

National Volunteer Week

National Volunteer Week is held on the third week of April and celebrates the impact of volunteer service within our community. National Volunteer Week is as an opportunity for community members to becomed inspired to serve and make a difference in their communities.
